Considering the impact of COVID-19 on the Shanghai economy and society, the Shanghai social security contribution base will continue to be determined in accordance with the three-year transition plan.
From July 1, 2020, the upper limit of the social security contribution base will be adjusted to RMB 28,017 per month with RMB 9,339 per month as the reference level for calculating the upper limit of the social security contribution base.
The lower limit of the social security contribution base will remain RMB 4,927 per month.
