Pre-opening Team Hiring

In China, company registration involves standard legal requirements and processes, many of which can be completed online. However, in most cases, government agencies and/or banks will require in-person meetings. At this stage, having a local team in China to handle these processes becomes essential.

In many cases, this local team can be a law firm or a professional service provider. However, if you intend for the pre-opening team to remain with the newly established Chinese entity, you will need a certified Employer of Record (EOR) company, like HROne, to act as the employer of the pre-opening team before your Chinese company is officially established.

Relevant Process

  1. The client confirms the candidates and compensation packages.
  2. The client and HROne sign a service agreement.
  3. HROne signs an employment contract with the candidates, making them EOR employees.
  4. The EOR employees handle the setup of the client’s Chinese company, during which HROne, as the legal employer, manages payroll, social insurance, and other statutory taxes. The client pays the total labor costs and service fees on a monthly basis as invoiced.
  5. Once the client’s Chinese company is officially established, HROne transfers the EOR employees to the client’s entity, making them the first employees of the newly established Chinese company. At this point, the client terminates the service agreement with HROne.
