If you need to hire a foreigner who wants to work in China, he or she must obtain a work permit and a residence permit (collectively called “work visa”) before legally work in China.
These are the basic requirements to apply for the work visa:
- Be over 18 years old
- Hold a valid passport
- Have the professional skills and work experience to fill the relevant vacancy
The processing steps are:
- Collect the documents
- Review the documents
- Apply for the work permit
- Apply for the residence permit
Documents that the applicant needs to provide:
- Original passport with at least 6 months of validity
- Copy of no criminal record
- Copy of academic certificate
- Copy of work qualification certificate, original reference letter from the previous company to prove you have 2 years full-time working experience (after graduation) in your current industry and position
- Copy of health certificate
- Recent applicant’s 2-inch photo
